Shelter-in-Place Update — September 18
At approximately 10:30 a.m., Taos Municipal Schools was released from a shelter-in-place by Superintendent Dr. Antonio Layton, following confirmation from Taos Police Department Chief Ron Montez Jr. that it was safe to do so.

This morning, Enos Garcia Elementary School, Taos Cyber Magnet Academy, and the Taos Municipal Schools Administration Building were placed in a shelter-in-place as a precaution following a report of wildlife spotted near the Taos Public Library.
The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. We are monitoring the situation and will provide additional updates as more information becomes available.
