The 2010 Taos High School Junior/Senior Prom will be held:

Ticket Price: $15 per ticket - Available from Ms. Romero, April 15th-April 30th. Cash or money orders only, please. You must purchase tickets no later than Friday, April 30th. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR! A LIMITED NUMBER OF TICKETS DOES EXIST! PURCHASE YOURS BEFORE THEY ARE GONE! Once a ticket has been sold, there will be no refunds issued for any reason!
Students who are classified as juniors or seniors are eligible to purchase tickets and attend the prom. Eligible students may invite only 1 guest.
If you would like to bring a guest who is not a Taos High School student, please complete a permission form. You must have the form complete in order to purchase a ticket for your date. You must provide some form of photo identification in the form of a driver's license, or other school ID. Don't forget that ID because we will be checking these at the door. Your date must be aged 20 or younger, but not younger than a high school freshmen. All school rules apply for you and your guests. Be aware that if anyone is found to be in possession of alcohol or drugs, we will be forced to shut down the prom at that point in time. Uniformed police officers, principals, and teacher/parent chaperones will be on the premises at all times.
Invitations for the 2010 Prom will be passed out Tuesday, April 13th - Thursday, April 15th during History Classes. If you did not receive an invitation, it may be because you were not classified as a junior at the beginning of the school year. It may also be because you were not in attendance. If you did not receive an invitation and you are a junior or senior; please stop by room 311 before school, after school or lunch. A limited number of invitations exists. After April 16th -- first come--first served until we run out.
You may park in any of the Town of Taos parking lots around the convention center. While we have people driving around the parking lots, and chaperones observing, neither Taos High School nor the Town of Taos is liable for damage caused to vehicles parked in their lots.
CIVIC
PLAZA DRIVE -- DROPPING OFF
Civic Plaza Drive will be closed off to all through traffic beginning at 7:30 p.m. to midnight the evening of prom. This means, only prom attendees or chaperones for prom will be allowed to pass through. You must present your ticket to the officer on duty to drop off. Otherwise, you may park in Town of Taos parking lots and walk to the convention center.
Prom night is a very special night for our juniors and seniors. Please respect and honor your fellow students by dressing in formal attire.
- All school rules are in effect, whether the dance is on school property or not. This means you need to remind your guests there is no use of tobacco at school events! They may be old enough to smoke tobacco products, but tobacco products are NOT ALLOWED at school functions!
- Once a student or guest leaves the dance they are not allowed to return. No money will be refunded. This includes GOING TO YOUR CAR!!!
- No food or drinks are allowed inside the convention center from the outside. Refreshments are available inside the convention center.
- The police will hold any student or guest who is in possession of alcohol or drugs, or is found to have used said substances before attending the dance until their parents can pick them up.
- Students or guests, who do not comply with these rules, or the directives of dance moderates, will be removed from the dance and will be subject to further disciplinary action.
- Please note: Guests are required to present a Photo I.D. upon admission.
- Students who have been expelled or suspended (during the time of the prom or prior to depending on what the principal may say) may not attend prom.
- If your guest changes, you must change the name with Ms. Romero. You may not swap or sell tickets. Only the student and the registered guest of those tickets will be admitted to prom with them.
- Students must not enter off-limits areas of the convention center.
- The parents and student assume responsibility for any accident or property damage while attending and traveling to and from the prom.
- The administrators and sponsors reserve the right to make any other decisions needed to ensure a safe night for our students.
- Administrators and sponsors reserve the right to refuse admittance to any student/guest inappropriately dressed.

The prom after party will take place at the Taos Youth & Family Center. Once you enter the party, you may not leave and come back into the center. Prom-goers will be supervised by Rocky Mountain Youth Staff.
