New Mexico Commission on Higher Education

The New Mexico Commission on Higher Education's mission is to promote and coordinate high quality postsecondary education partnerships that are responsive to changing needs and serve all New Mexicans.
 

University of New Mexico

The University of New Mexico is located in Albuquerque, NM.  UNM represents a wide cross-section of cultures and backgrounds. In the fall of 2002, 24,705 students attended main campus and another 7,090 attended branch campuses and education centers. UNM's main and branch campuses offer 88 certificates, 97 associate degrees, 145 bachelor's degrees, 83 master's degrees, 42 doctorate degrees, three professional degrees, 11 post-master's certificates and eight education specialists.

UNM-Taos

Our local school which is charged with the local responsibility of educating our community. 

 

Northern New Mexico Community College

Northern New Mexico Community College is located in Espanola and El Rito, New Mexico.  This school offers low tuition rates, courses which are in both technical and academic fields, and again in our own back yard.  Take a look.

UNM-Los Alamos

UNM-LA has a lot of opportunities open to both juniors and seniors including summer programs which they are working as interns and can take college course. 

 

Santa Fe Community College

This is a link to Santa Fe Community College where some of our students do end up going to.  They have an excellent culinary arts program in addition to offering technical and academic coursework. 

 

Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute (TV-I)

This school is located in the middle of Albuquerque and is one of the best technical-vocational schools as well as offering the first two years of college (Associate of Arts degree) at an affordable rate.

 

NMSU - Doņa Ana Branch

This school is located in Las Cruces and feeds students to main campus.  The school offers a number of courses in both technical and academic fields. 

 

New Mexico Highlands University - NMHU

Located in Las Vegas, NM; this school is very close to home and offers both 2 and 4 year degrees in many different areas of study.
