Voting
delegates at the 2007 Spring Conference at Taos High School passed
resolutions for NMASC projects for 2007-2008. Member schools select only
one (1) Monetary Resolution and only one (1) Service Resolution. The
member schools have selected three (3) General-Interest Resolutions. All
member schools are encouraged to support the approved resolutions.
Monetary Resolution: Staff vs. Student Event to Support a
Charitable Foundation
Be it resolved: that every student council in the state of New Mexico
hold a Staff vs. Student event to raise money for a charitable
foundation of its choice.

Service Resolution: Send Letters, Care Packages, or
Donations to Troops in the Middle East
Be it resolved: that each student council send letters, or care packages
or donations to our troops serving in the Middle East.

General-Interest Resolutions
Activity for Elementary School Students Focused on Character Counts
Be it resolved: that every student council in the state of New Mexico
host an activity for elementary school students which focuses on
"Character Counts" characteristics.
Jog-A-Thon to Raise Awareness about Juvenile
Diabetes
Be it resolved: that every student council will coordinate a Jog-a-Thon
to raise awareness about Juvenile Diabetes.
Visits to Elder Care to Interact with the Elderly
Be it resolved: that student councils in New Mexico schedule at least
two visits per semester to a local elder care home or facility to visit,
play games, read, or just interact with the elderly in our communities.
