The Importance of Attendance

Dear Families,

New Mexico Public Education Department is requiring the Taos schools to address Chronic Absences (excused and unexcused missed days) by following their minimum requirements of student and parent engagement.

Every Day Counts!

Please have your student to school on time each day.

Parent Teacher Student Association

The Taos Community Parent Teacher Student Association is an organization formed in March 2004 to help increase awareness of education in the community of Taos, NM. The organization serves all schools within the Taos Municipal School District boundaries, including public, private, and parochial schools, and has been meeting monthly on the second Monday of each month.

We welcome all parents of current Taos County students, interested students and teachers to join the PTSA. Membership dues are $6.00 per year, click here and enter your city and state under “Find Your Local PTA Unit” to join.

Section 504 is a part of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 that prohibits discrimination based upon disability. Section 504 is an anti-discrimination, civil rights statute that requires the needs of students with disabilities to be met as adequately as the needs of the non-disabled are met.
