The district has
decided that the two areas that will aid the district most in its
mission of educating students of Taos Municipal Schools as Bilingual
Education and Curriculum and Instruction. Additionally, those
staff who are interested in pursuing further education in the form of an
associate's or bachelor's degree are strongly encouraged to apply for
professional development. Please contact Federal Programs for
information regarding a new program at New Mexico Highlands University
which pays a stipend for teachers interested in pursuing a master's
degree in bilingual education. The classes will be held in
Espanola.
Title II is
responsible for paying for many of our professional development programs
we send teachers to including Baldrige Training and coursework needed by
instructors to meet the No Child Left Behind Legislation mandated by
