The district has decided that the two areas that will aid the district most in its mission of educating students of Taos Municipal Schools as Bilingual Education and Curriculum and Instruction.  Additionally, those staff who are interested in pursuing further education in the form of an associate's or bachelor's degree are strongly encouraged to apply for professional development.  Please contact Federal Programs for information regarding a new program at New Mexico Highlands University which pays a stipend for teachers interested in pursuing a master's degree in bilingual education.  The classes will be held in Espanola.

Title II is responsible for paying for many of our professional development programs we send teachers to including Baldrige Training and coursework needed by instructors to meet the No Child Left Behind Legislation mandated by federal government.  Click on the links to get the forms which are required to be filled out by our office in order to pay for coursework or conferences you attend.
